Young woman injured in Highway 14 crash west of New Ulm

(Mankato, MN) – A young woman was injured Wednesday evening in a crash west of New Ulm.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 18-year-old Madison Sue Portner was injured when the Oldsmobile Alero she was driving sideswiped a Chevrolet Impala that was stopped to turn left on Highway 14 in Milford Township.

The Impala was driven by 55-year-old Sandra Bernice Rueckert of New Ulm.  Both vehicles had been eastbound on the Highway at the time of the crash.

Portner suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the New Ulm Medical Center.
