(Gaylord, MN) – A woman was rescued by law enforcement from the Minnesota River Monday.

A suicidal female was reported at River Park near Le Sueur just after 9 p.m.  Police located the woman about a mile west of the park on the river bank, according to a release from the Sibley County Sheriff.

“As officers attempted to communicate with the female, she experienced an unknown medical condition and fell into the water,” said the release.

Officers from the Le Sueur Police Department, Sibley County Sheriff’s office, and a friend of the woman were able to quickly rescue her from the water.

The woman was transported to Ridgeview Hospital in Le Sueur for further evaluation.
