Victim airlifted after semi crash east of St. Peter
(Le Center, MN) – One person was airlifted following a single-vehicle semi crash east of St. Peter Thursday afternoon.
According to a release from the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s office, a semi-truck was southbound on Ottawa Road when it lost control and rolled onto its side as the vehicle approached the intersection with Highway 99.
Bhakta Raj Rai, 33, and two children were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police are not releasing the children’s ages. Sarita Adr Rai, 31, was airlifted from the scene with life-threatening injuries.
A spokesperson for the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s office said the occupants of the semi were all wearing seat belts.
The Le Sueur County Sheriff’s office and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating.
