Mankato snow emergency in effect tonight
(Mankato, MN) – Mankato has declared a snow emergency that will begin tonight and continue into the morning hours tomorrow.
According to a release from the city, there is no parking on streets during a snow emergency, which begins at 8 p.m. tonight, and will be effective until 8 a.m. tomorrow morning. The only exception is on streets where “seasonal no parking” is posted.
Temporary parking is available at no cost in the Mankato Place and Civic Center Parking ramps during snow emergencies. Parking is also allowed in yards during a snow emergency. Anyone not moving their vehicle is subject to a $25 ticket and a towing fee of $118.66.
