(North Mankato, MN) – Judson Bottom Road will reopen Wednesday for the first time in nearly two months.

Public Works Director Nate Host confirmed that crews were moving barricades and the road would reopen Wednesday, although he couldn’t specify a time.

Judson Bottom Road was effectively closed for most of the summer.  Host said there was a short period at the end of June into early July in which the road was open, but it closed again due to mudslides and fallen rock.

The city is sourcing metal swing gates to make any future road closures simpler for city workers, and plan to have the gates in place in fall.
