(North Mankato, MN) – Despite weather delays and challenges, the newly upgraded pool at Spring Lake Park will soon open for the remainder of summer.

The city of North Mankato announced Monday that the new facility will celebrate its Grand Opening on Wednesday, July 31st at 1 p.m.

Admission cost is $5 for non-residents and $2 for residents.

The pool was filled last week, and crews have since been working on completing the finishing touches.

North Mankato’s Public Works Director Nate Host said the city is exploring the possibility of extending the pool’s operations into September, due to the delay in opening.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held prior to the opening.
