Farming Accident Most Likely Caused Death Of North Mankato Man…

Investigators with the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office say internal injuries from a farming accident caused the death of North Mankato man.

Authorities say it’s believed that 75-year-old Ray Thorn Jr. was run over by the sprayer he was pulling, although the exact circumstances on how that came to be remain unclear.

Thorn was found laying on the roadway on 405th Avenue in rural North Mankato just before 3:00 Tuesday afternoon. He was treated at the scene by medical staff, but later pronounced dead.
