Elderly Man Dies In St. Peter Crash

(Mankato, MN) – An elderly man died in a crash Wednesday afternoon in Nicollet County.
The Minnesota State Patrol said 87-year-old David Fred Letchenberg attempted to turn his Chevy Malibu onto Jefferson Street in St. Peter when he collided with a semi northbound on Highway 169.
The crash report says Letchenberg’s injuries were fatal. The semi driver, Christopher Jon Borchardt, 52, of Mankato wasn’t injured.
