17 Year Old Boy Dies In Car Crash In Cottonwood County

A 17-year-old boy from Storden has been killed in a one car crash in the Cottonwood County town.

The State Patrol says Jonathan Escobar Lopez was on Highway 30 Friday morning when his car went off the roadway, hit a sign post in the ditch and then vaulted across a drainage ditch. Once the car hit the other side of the ditch, authorities say it appears to have rolled multiple times.

The vehicle came to a rest on its roof with Lopez in the vehicle with his seatbelt on when emergency crews arrived on scene.
