Two Hospitalized After Crash In Lake Crystal Friday Afternoon


(Lake Crystal, MN) – Two people were hospitalized after a crash Friday afternoon in Lake Crystal.

The State Patrol says it happened just before 4p when a car pulled out from La Claire Street and was trying to cross Highway 60 when it was hit by a westbound SUV.

Two passengers in the SUV, Henry Francis Greelis and Garvin Win Yau, both age 18 and from Bloomington, were taken to the MCHS Hospital in Mankato. Their injuries are not considered life threatening.

The driver of the SUV, 18-year-old Caleb Elijiah Margotta of Bloomington was not injured, nor was another passenger, 18-year-old Ray Hardin Smith of Bloomington.

The two people in the car were also not hurt. They’ve been identified as 67-year-old Jane Walburga Wielenberg of Long Prairie and an 11-year-old girl.
