St. Peter Gas Station Robbed, 19 Year Old Waseca Man Arrested

A 19-year-old man is jailed today, suspected in an early morning robbery of a gas station in St. Peter.

Lucas William Maxon of Waseca is expected to be charged with First Degree Aggravated Robbery.

St. Peter Police say they were called to the Quick Mart just before 1:00am Monday on a report of a man wearing a mask and hooded sweatshirt who entered the business and demanded money from the lone employee.

Minutes later, a responding officer saw two men in the area and watched as one of them began shedding the clothes he had been wearing. The officer quickly descended on the suspects and ordered both to the ground at gun point. Backup officers arrived and handcuffed the men. A handgun and clothing were located near the suspects.

Maxon was taken to the Nicollet County Jail. The other man with him, who police have publicly identified as 18-year-old Yaasi Lee Lambert of St. Peter, was released pending further investigation.
