Yes, this actually happened.

A manure spreader was stolen in Southern Cass County sometime in the past week.

The machinery, called a New Holland 790, was sitting on the side of Highway 64 with a “For Sale” sign on it, the post says.

The sign did not state how much the farmer was selling it for.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Cass County Sheriff’s Office at 218-547-1424, and ask to speak with Sgt. Jason Brogle.
