Man Dies In Brown County Crash Yesterday Afternoon, Another Gravely Injured…

One person is dead and another is fighting for his life after a crash in Brown County on Monday afternoon.

The State Patrol says a straight truck was northbound on Highway 4 when it crossed onto the shoulder, over corrected, slid into the southbound lane and struck a pickup.

A passenger in the pickup, 60-year-0ld Joseph Hilarius Sellner of Sleepy Eye, was killed. The pickup driver, 61-year-old Philip Patrick Sellner of Sleepy Eye was taken to the hospital with injuries that are considered life threatening. The State Patrol says neither was wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the straight truck, 56-year-old Mark Steven Solheim of Clear Lake, was injured, but didn’t require hospitalization. Solheim was wearing a seat belt.

Assisting the State Patrol at the scene of the crash around 2:15 Monday afternoon were the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Sleepy Eye Ambulance, Fire & Rescue.
