Man Calls Mankato Police To Report Being Attacked By Mosquitoes…

A 27-year-old man who called Mankato police for help because he was being attacked by mosquitoes…ended up under arrest.

Travis Edward Page is now charged with two counts of drug possession.

According to the complaint, Page was at Land of Memories Park on Friday night when he called the cops saying he was being “attacked by mosquitoes” and was stranded in Mankato and wanted help to get out of the area.

The responding officer advised Page he needed to make his own arrangements for leaving the area, but did provide with him information on local resources that could help. The officer also asked Page for his ID and when his name was run through the system, it showed he had an active warrant out of North Dakota.

Page was then placed under arrest and a search of his belongings turned up two small baggies of methamphetamine and a couple glass pipes with meth residue.
