Madelia Man Among Those Busted In Juvenile Prostitution Sting

(Springfield, MN) – A 39-year-old man from Madelia was among the eight people arrested in the area’s latest prostitution sting.

This undercover operation took place over the weekend in Springfield* and targeted those seeking sex with teenage girls.

Senior Investigator Jeff Hohensee of the New Ulm Police Department says the sting used a residential setting, with law enforcement posing as 16 year old girls willing to exchange sexual intercourse or sex acts for money or narcotics.

Arrested on Friday were James Robert Wallace of Madelia (pictured above), 24-year-old Franklin Aman Pineda Solares of Worthington, and 20-year-old Shane Allen Madsen of Sheldon, Iowa.

The other five who were arrested have not yet arraigned in Brown County Court. They are Jordan Michael Brown, age 26; Lawrence David Depyper, age 70; Joshua Theodore Lippert, age 38; Paul Raymond Lund Jr, age 46 and Pedro Mayoral-Gomez, age 36.

“I believe these 8 arrests show that this problem is far more prevalent than anyone thought,” said Hohensee. “No one is policing the internet and these 8 arrests are the reality of the situation.” Investigators used and Craigslist to facilitate their communications.

With these latest arrests, around 100 people have now been nabbed in prostitution stings in Brown, Blue Earth and Nicollet counties over the last two-plus years.
