LEVEE BREAKS IN ARKANSAS: FLASH FLOOD WARNING ISSUED

A dangerous flooding situation in northeastern Arkansas worsened on Wednesday morning when a levee failed along the Black River near the town of Pocahontas.

The NWS issued a flash flood emergency urging people to seek higher ground due to life-threatening flooding.

Water rescues have been occurring in Shannon, Arkansas just south of Pocahontas.
