Husband And Wife Arrested In Huge Mankato Meth Bust

A husband and wife have been arrested after a search of their Mankato home allegedly turned up a large amount of drugs.

Authorities say 33-year-old Randy Joel Bade and 28-year-old April Michelle Bade were both taken into custody following a Tuesday search of their residence at 1800 6th Avenue.

During the search, agents with the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force located 282 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of between $10,000 and $15,000.

Agents say they also located an indoor marijuana grow operation consisting of 10 plants, along with a revolver, and evidence of drug sales.

Charges against Randy and April Bade are expected to include first degree controlled substance possession and sales.

The head of the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force says the search warrant was obtained as the result of a lengthy investigation. The Mankato Department of Public Safety and the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the search.
