A happy ending in the search for a little girl who went missing from her home in rural Nerstrand.

Four-year-old Sawyer Ruby Rose Hanson disappeared Tuesday night, and an extensive search was launched with authorities on foot, and drones and a State Patrol helicopter in the air.  Then around 2:00 this morning, the Rice County Sheriff’s Office reported that she had been found in a field near her home and was returned to her family.

Before going missing, Hanson had been playing in her yard and police noted that she is known to chase cats into the corn fields surrounding the family farm.
