Make plans now for your family to join ours for the 5th Annual Southern Minnesota Christmas Festival on Saturday, November 12th from 11 am til 4 pm, now at the new Performing Arts Center at the Verizon Wireless Center in downtown Mankato. It’s brought to you by KIA of Mankato, Noble RV of Madelia and Rhapsody Music. This is the annual kick-off for the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots campaign so don’t forget to bring a new, unwrapped toy or cash donation. At last year’s Christmas Festival, more than $1,200 dollars was raised for Toys for Tots and 132 toys were donated.
This year’s theme for the free Christmas Festival is How The Grinch Stole Christmas…so get ready to enter the amazing world of Whoville…decorated by Parties & Weddings Plus.
In addition to an assortment of activities for the kids including horse drawn trolley rides from Western Specialized, they’ll have a chance to meet Santa Claus! This is also the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping with dozens of local vendors on hand, offering gifts that will be perfect for everyone on your list.
Come hungry! There will also be plenty of food options, along with wide variety of performances on the Garlick’s Water Conditioning entertainment stage. Here’s this year’s lineup:
