Blue Earth Walmart Closes It’s Doors For The Final Time Tonight

After 30 years of welcoming customers, it’s nearly over for the Walmart store in Blue Earth.

It was announced last month that the store at 1210 Giant Drive would be closing for good and that will happen as of 7:00 Tuesday night.

The decision to close the Blue Earth store was based on a number of factors including financial performance and strategic alignment with long-term plans, and Walmart Spokesman Phillip Keene says it was not an easy one.

“We have been, and will continue to be, supportive of our local store leadership and associates in Blue Earth. This decision is in no way a reflection of their hard work and customer service,” said Keene.

The pharmacy at the  Blue Earth Walmart closed on September 22nd and the prescription information transferred to the Walmart in Fairmont.
